Day 1: Nice to meet you!
To open this tour, there is nothing like the discovery of a jewel that has made the wealth of many Occitans.
Let’s see life in blue! The Pastel Museum will make us discover the “World of Blue” through a medicinal plant with a coloring power. Accompanied by a guide, we will learn more about this real treasure of the Occitan heritage.
Day 2: To the adventure
The Occitanie is full of natural wonders, which are presented to us during various activities. One thing is for sure, we will enjoy a breath of fresh air, in the heart of nature.
Let’s admire the splendor of the scenery in which we will travel, along waterfalls and slides: canyoning is the ideal activity combining sport, incredible landscapes, and swimming.
The day continues with a hike through the forest along the Mourgouilhou stream, the sub-alpine pastures where the local flora is in abundance, and finally to the Comte pond.
Day 3: Relaxation and discovery
Time to rest and visit. Today, we will take the “slow” side of life and enjoy what nature and history have to offer.
What better way to start the day than to go and relax at the Thermes d’Axes and appreciate the virtues of these thermal waters with proven benefits. Let’s leave this suspended moment with a feeling of lightness.
Let’s go back in time to the 14th century to discover the Castle of Foix in a playful way by being witnesses of the life of the Count of Foix. We will explore their conquests, defeats and daily life and much more!
Day 4: Horseback Riding
An active day is coming ! Come and see the most beautiful spots in Ariège. Geological wonders and breathtaking mountain landscapes: here is the recipe for a successful day.
The cave of Mas-d’Azil, a geological curiosity and a giant of Prehistory! Let the magic of the place take us away, with the immensity of its cavities, the modern lighting and the prehistoric remains…
There is nothing like a horseback ride to reconnect with nature. The equestrian rides offered by Claude allow us to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Ariege.
Day 5 : Immersion
The ones who are best placed to tell us about the Ariège are its inhabitants. Let us take the time to meet them during a privileged moment, and to observe the environment which surrounds us. By day or by night, we will have stars in our eyes.
What if we shared the life of a shepherd? Let’s start with a first contact with the dogs and then go on a trail in the middle of the meadows while taking care of the animals. It’s a real moment of sharing.
Let’s enjoy a moment of relaxation in the thermal baths of Bagnères-de-Bigorre with water loaded in trace elements with virtues for our body that we care so much for.
Let the evening light settle down to explore the trails, and live a moment out of time… The sunset from the top of the Pic du Midi is one of the most beautiful you can imagine.
Day 6: Art and Gastronomy
Know-how and traditions are the wealth of a people. Today, we will have the chance and the pleasure to live an initiation experience to the local art.
Let’s let the dream take us through different techniques that Roxanne will share with us during this ceramic workshop. A way to please ourselves and our friends with memorable gifts…
Three, two, one, bake! Let’s discover the making of the “gâteau à la broche”, an ancestral and unequalled technique. The cooking of the cake on a lime wood fire gives unique sensations in the mouth… Let’s taste it.
Day 7 : Adishatz
To conclude this tour, and to finish on a touch of color, we visit the Pink City. The time has come to say goodbye, and we hope to see you soon.
Let’s conquer the pink city where many unknown stories abound. Our guide will be present to immerse us in the city’s past.
