La Molina is Catalonia's - and Spain's - oldest ski resort dating back to the baggy woolies and wooden ski era of the turn of the century. It's still up there with the best and we include it on our programme as La Molina is easily accessible from the region's busiest airport: Gerona.

 

The ski resort of La Molina- now linked to that of Masella - is equipped with 18 lifts - a telecabin, six chairs and six drag. Skiers now have access to 99 pistes: 19 green, 34 blue, 35 red and 12 black runs. Artificial snow, thanks to 326 cannons, guarantees skiing on 40 kms of runs. map of pistes

 

Snowboarders are well looked after in La Molina with a half pipe, ramps and jumps. There are also three kms of cross-country trails through the forests.
