One
of the leading Alpine resorts, Les Deux Alpes is about
the surest resort in Europe for snowfall. The upper reaches
of the ski domain are on the Mont de Lans glacier where
even summer skiing is possible. The resort is now linked
to the La Grave/la Meije ski domain allowing unlimited
off-piste (freeride) skiing. As
the Deux Alpes resort has been open since 1946 there is
now a wealth (over 73!) of established clubs, restaurants
and bars catering for a youngish clientele. Snowboarders
are particularly well catered for as this resort was one
of the first to develop snowboard facilities - including
its fearsome mile-long 'couloir'. The
resort features Europe's largest skiable glacier, as well
as an exceptional panoramic view of the Alps at an altitude
of 3600m.
Serving the 220 kilometres of pistes are 3 gondolas,
3 cable cable lifts, 23 chair lifts, and 19 tow-lifts.
102 pistes: 27 green, 45 blue, 17 red and 13 black.
There is also a snowpark, which comprises 1 axe pipe, 1 slopestyle, 1 half-pipe,
and 1 snowskate zone.

Residence
Right in the heart of the resort - on the pedestrian-only square where all
the action is - with easy access to shops, clubs, cafés and, of course, the
lifts.
