LE TEICH - Arcachon Basin

 

 

The Arcachon Basin is a region of diverse and natural beauty. The centre, l’Ile aux Oiseaux, is surrounded by picturesque fishermen’s cabins on stilts (« cabanes tchanquées ») and is a must for bird lovers.

 

Further away, you will find the remarkable vast expanse of the Pyla Dune (2700 m long - 105 m high).The land of oyster farmers, the Arcachon Basin has maintained its identity and the beauty of its picturesque villages.

 

Le Teich is of an incomparable beauty, the fresh water of the Leyre mixes with salt water of the Basin. The area attracts nature-lovers from all over the world, all year round, who come to discover the peaceful haven of the Ornithological park, where about 300 species of birds can be found.

 

The pleasure of swimming and the beach can be enjoyed in safety in the bay (free access) by children and parents alike.

 

Between the port and the old market town, the residence adjoins the world renowned Ornithological Park.

 

The residence, comprising of 18 houses inspired by the traditional architecture of the Arcachon Basin cabins split into 139 apartments, is situated to the South of the pleasure port of Le Teich, near to the fine sand of the river bank (300 m) and the beach of Le Teich (distance 4 km, accessed by pedestrian footbath or by bike) and with immediate access to the Arcachon Basin.

Each apartment has a living room with a sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, ceramic hobs and fridge freezer, a satellite television (with supplement), furnished terrace or loggia and bike rack.
