MONT ST MICHEL

 

Normandy is a mixture of old and new, relying strongly on traditional values while at the same time keeping an eye on the future.
The area has a whole range of contrasting landscapes, long beaches, green countryside and a rich cultural and architectural heritage: castles, manor houses dating back to the Renaissance, abbeys, half timbered farmhouses...

Normandy is also famous for its seaside resorts and its food (cheeses, of which Camembert is the most renowned, dairy products, cider, calvados apple brandy, seafood...)

Mont Saint Michel and its famous bay: (5 km) The « Wonder of the Western World » forms a tower in the heart of an immense bay invaded by the highest tides in Europe. UNESCO classed Mont Saint-Michel as a world heritage site in 1979.

Cancale: (44km) Cancale is a Mecca for all seafood enthusiasts with its oysters, fresh fish caught in the bay, famous cuisine and its panoramic views from the coastal paths.

Saint Malo : (50 km) All year round, St-Malo combines water sports, cultural activities, excursions and sports.

Beauvoir, where our residence is located, is a village on the border of Normandy and Brittany, ideally located to explore the Mont-Saint-Michel’s Bay and its beautiful Abbey, and also Saint-Malo, Dinard and Cancale The beaches are about 25km from the residence.
