PARAGLIDING in the PYRENEES

A four day/3 night break with a flying theme based in the wonderful Cerdagne region of the French Pyrenees.

Day One:
Arrive at Perpignan airport. Collection in private minibus for the transfer to the chalet. Aperitifs followed by three course evening meal with wine. DVD’s of the activities for the following day just to get you in the mood.

Day Two:
Morning – Paragliding School. The first morning will be spent learning a little about paragliding and trying out the paragliders.
Picnic lunch
Afternoon – Kite. The first afternoon will be an introduction to kiting, learning to pilot the kites (handles and bars)
Evening – chat about the days’ activities over aperitifs and dinner at the chalet

Day Three:
Morning – Paragliding baptism! This morning you will do a tandem paragliding jump with one of the instructors from the Paragliding School. You will get some fantastic views of the Cerdagne valley and learn a little more about the piloting of a paraglider. This is one of the best spots in France for paragliding.
Picnic lunch
Afternoon – Kite. This afternoon you will advance your kite piloting skills and move onto some form of traction – getting the kite to pull you along on a mountainboard or in a buggy.
Evening – more DVD’s covering the activities, aperitifs and dinner.

Day Four:
This morning is purposely left free in case of any cancellation due to bad weather on the previous days. In the event that all runs smoothly and all activities are undertaken as scheduled, this morning can be spent at one of the local thermal baths. Relax in the naturally heated waters then continue down to Villefranche-le-Conflent (a walled city) for lunch. After lunch you can have a leisurely stroll around Villefranche before we continue to the airport for your afternoon flight.

You will need to bring walking boots and wind and waterproof clothing as well as swimming kit.

Naturally these activities are totally dependent on weather conditions. In the event of cancellations of any of the scheduled activities appropriate alternatives will be proposed.
