4 day culinary course in St Rémy d'Avignon

house and gardens
Famed for its lavender fields, olive groves and crystal clear skies: revered by artists for the quality of its light, texture and colours and adored by food-lovers everywhere for its distinctive contributions to French – and universal – cuisine, Provence is a sort of culinary heartland to which food pilgrims are instinctively drawn.

Our short break reveals the secrets of this magical place and its unique cuisine through a combination of hands-on classes with a top chef and accompanied visits to places of culinary interest – olive oil producers, wine-makers and local food artisans.

The venue is a 4* country hotel located south of Avignon at St Rémy-de-Provence – easily reachable by high-speed train or local airports Marseilles, Avignon and Nîmes.

The spirit of Provence
The enchantment begins at the driveway as you approach the buildings through laurels, ancient trees, rosebushes and lavender. Serenity and peace

The garden

The scent of thyme, rosemary, lavender and mint combined with the beauty of the mythical olive tree will revive your senses.
Feel the warm provençal air as it sweeps through the pine trees.
You will be delighted by the pool and the Jacuzzi that fit perfectly into this quiet and secluded place.

The rooms
Every room is decorated in respect to the light. Warm and welcoming or bathed in light, the room is set up in such a way to make it unique.

Clear view onto the rocks to the east, towards the garden or on the quiet terrace looking onto the pine wood, you will always feel at home.

The restaurant
A gourmet restaurant which continually renews its creations according to the chef's inspiration, the seasons, the garden produce or the market's offer.
Each dish is accompanied with a carefully chosen wine from the region or further afield from France's many vineyards.

Location:
In the middle of the triangle Avignon – Arles – Marseilles, among the olive groves and lavender fields of deepest Provence.
