Randonnée dans les Pyrénées

Day 1 : Toulouse - Collioure

Pick up at Toulouse airport by your driver and guide and set off immediately to the Mediterranean seaside.

Arrive in Collioure, the jewel of the 'Côte Vermeille', the rocky coastline where the Pyrenees meet the Mediterranean. Already a haunt for painters at the turn of the last century, Collioure remains a favourite site for budding artists looking to recapture the magic of Matisse, Derain and other 'fauvists' who enjoyed the sea and light so particular to this coastline.
Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 : Banyuls

Begin the day with a walk along the seaside to Banyuls, a beautiful old fishing village, with quaint narrow streets and excellent beaches. The steep slopes of the surrounding hills are covered with vineyards, producing natural sweet wines. Stop for a wine tasting of the Collioure, Banyuls and Banyuls Grand Cru AOC wines – the cellars of the Templiersare located right in the middle of the vines with impressive views over the vineyard and the coast.

Overnight at your hotel.

Approximately 4 hours walk, inclination: 400metres ascent

Day 3 : St-Pere-de-Rodes

Starting from the village of Llanca, you will begin a steady climb towards the monastery of St-Pere-de-Rodes. The monastery is a splendid example of Romanesque architecture dating from the 11thcentury and is unique in Europe.  You will spend some time visiting the site.

After lunch walk down to the Port of la Selva, a small fishing village on the coast.

Overnight at your hotel.
