Hospice of Beaune, Hotel Dieu

Day 3 : Côte de Nuits

 

Pick up at your hotel by your driver and guide and departure for the Côte de Nuits.

Start the day by a visit of a dairy farm in Brochon and enjoy tasting  different cheeses, from the mildest to the strongest in flavour.

Continue into the heart of the Pinot Noir Grands Crus vineyards of Gevrey Chamberlin. Learn about the unique Burgundian appellations. Visit and wine-tasting at two different domains.

For lunch, enjoy an outstanding gourmet meal with delicious dishes in an amazing domain ! Of course prestigious wines will accompany your lunch.

In the afternoon, experience truffle tasting. Learn how to enjoy truffles and associate them with wine. The ultimate gourmet experience.

Transfer back to your hotel in Beaune.

Dinner in local restaurant & overnight at your hotel.

 

Day 4 : Cooking class & Beaune

 

Pick up at your hotel by your driver and guide and departure for a hands-on cooking class. The chef of the restaurant will teach you several techniques, and once back home you will be able to impress your guests! For lunch eat what you have prepared during the class and appreciate the expertise of a profesionnal wine-waiter.

After lunch, transfer to the Cassisium Museum. Enjoy an explanation of how the famous Creme de Cassis (blackcurrent) is made. Then discover the distillery and end the visit by a tasting session.

Finish the day by a guided visit of the Hotel Dieu. Also called Hospice of Beaune, it is a former charitable almshouse and has now become a museum. The beautiful architecture of the building and the many art pieces are breathtaking. Every third Sunday of November a wine auction is organized for charity in the Hotel Dieu.

Transfer back to your hotel in Beaune

Dinner at leisure & overnight at your hotel.
