More Private & Shared Escorted Tours

 How it works

This private escorted tour around the South-West of France is for parties of 2 to 6 people of friends or family that get together. Fix your dates at any time of the year and we'll take care of the rest: travel in a luxury minivan with a qualified, English- or Spanish-speaking driver-guide with accommodation in carefully selected boutique hotels.

This escorted tour is based on eating and drinking - French cuisine and French wines - enjoyed throughout a leisurely drive through the Languedoc and Dordogne before finishing in the Bordeaux vineyards. Other vineyards met en route include the Corbières and Cahors. A highlight of the trip is a hands-on cooking course at the one Michelin-starred restaurant Le Saint-James

Day 1: Toulouse & Carcassonne

Arrival in Toulouse and welcome by your driver-guide.
Transfer to Carcassonne.
Guided tour of the medieval citadel of Carcassonne, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was used in the 1st Century for a Roman villa before reappearing in the XIth century as a fortification belonging to the powerful Viscount Trencavel. It is a town within a town, a maze of narrow cobbled streets within severe ramparts of thick walls and turreted towers, but bustling with life and colour.
The spectacular walled town is one of France’s most famous national monuments and UNESCO Heritage Site.

Finish your tour with a visit of Rocamadour, a monumental complex dated from the 11th to the 19th century set on the side of a cliff with seven chapels and a thousand-year old religious history.
