Day 1: Toulouse

Arrival Toulouse Airport and welcome by your driver & guide.

Enjoy a walking tour of Toulouse and discover the main sites and monuments. During the tour, you will be able to admire the Capitole, the actual City Hall and the National Theater are housed in this magnificent building on the square that has the same name. St-Sernin Basilica which is the largest Romanesque church in Europe and compulsory halt on the pilgrims' way to Santiago de Compostela. You will have the opportunity to admire and discover many churches and private mansions as well.

Day 2: Airbus - Cité de l'espace

Pick up at your hotel by a private coach & your guide for a guided tour of the Airbus Assembly Line. The Airbus A380 is the largest passenger airliner in the world, this tour will reveal you all the secrets of the world’s only true double-decker, from the design stage through to the commercial service. Right in the middle of this, in Toulouse's eastern suburbs lies the Space Centre - La Cité de l'Espace. This space center museum contains numerous exhibits, interactive resources, planetarium and IMAX cinema; it opens its doors into the universe where there are more than 12 acres of space to discover as if you were there.

Day 3 : Albi - Roquefort - Peyreleau

Pick up at your hotel by a private coach & your guide .

You will be driven through the Gaillac vineyards to Albi, a magnificent pink-bricked town on the banks of the Tarn. Admire the fortified Cathedral of Sainte-Cécile, a masterpiece of the Southern Gothic style, before touring the Toulouse Lautrec museum in the old Bishop's Palace. This museum is a true 13th century fortress and a witness to the bygone power of the Bishops of Albi. On the road to Millau you will pass the village of Roquefort and its famous caves. Visit the Papillon caves and discover the secrets of the famous Roquefort cheese: First Appellation of Origin.

Day 4 : Millau - Carcassonne

You will visit Millau and its viaduct. The Viaduct of Millau, tallest in the world and taller than the Eiffel Tower, slung across the valley of the river Tarn, the Viaduct of Millau, designed by Norman Foster, was designed to take the A75 motorway from Clermont-Ferrand south to Beziers. On your way to Carcassonne, you will stop at the Abbey of Fontfroide for a visit. Founded by benedictin monks at the end of the XIth  century it is linked the Cistercian order in 1145. It became rapidly one of the wealthiest Cistercian abbeys of the Christendom. Its architectural entity, diverse and varied, has been amazingly well preserved. Open every day of the year, you will discover its cloister and its church of the XIIth century as well as the Rose Garden and the terraced gardens from spring onwards. At the end you will visit Carcassone. The citadel dominates the old town and it is defined to be a town within a town, a maze of narrow cobbled streets within severe ramparts of thick walls and turreted towers, but it is bustling with life and color.

Optional Day 5 : Cathar Citadels

Departure for Rennes-le-Chateau, a small medieval castle village, known internationally for being at the center of various conspiracy theories. The story became the origin for hypotheses in documentaries and bestselling books such as the 'Da Vinci Code'. Transfer to Peyrepertuse Castle, a ruined fortress and one of the so-called Cathar castles. The name of Peyrepetuse derived from the ancient language called Occitan and means Pierced Rock. The castle was built on a strategic location along the French/Spanish border by The Kings of Aragon in the 11th Century. Your tour continues towards Quéribus. Cradle of the Cathar country, Quéribus is high-up and isolated. It stands on top of the highest peak for miles around, and where from a distance you can see the horizon, sticking up into the sky.
