The Strategy
Founded
in 2003 France à la
carte has
always had a two-pronged strategy in the development of its position
in the South of France: to work in tandem with low-cost carriers
coming
into the region to provide reasonably priced short breaks available
at all seasons, and to develop a range of 'satellite sites' concentrating
on upmarket theme holidays.
The
advent of an in-house online booking system in 2005 and the widening
of the product base to include the Alps
and the French Riviera in 2006 has made France à la
carte a major player in the incoming industry in
France.
2007
saw the introduction of an 'incentive' wing to the business with
a number of products designed for the
corporate market.
2008
and 2009 are transitional years which will see both a radical
revision of the website (style, décor and content)
and a move towards a more ecological approach to tourism: less
dependance on air transport and more sustainable development products.
